MARIE BEER
| Marie Beer finally is releasing
the album everyone's been
waiting for. Somewhat like a Fiona Apple with more manners
and a Tori Amos with fewer demons, Beer combines the best
parts of piano and vocal-driven music.
Cherry Tree is in full-bloom with
Beer's seductive voice and the lush melodies of her piano,
with local musicians Hannah Alkire on cello, guitarist
Eben Grace, and producer Wil Masisak playing organ, accordion,
bass and some backup vocals. Beer celebrates the release
for her new album at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 29, when
she opens for Celtic band Milladoiro at the Boulder Theater,
2032 14th St. Tickets are $18.90. |
